Therapy with Horses

Are you ready to let go of old patterns, bad habits, and unresolved experiences?

Do you desire to step into a deeper version of yourself?

Maybe you’re…

  • Overthinking or analyzing too much
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Struggling to connect with your true energy
  • Facing stuck relationship patterns, bad habits, or unresolved experiences
  • Craving deeper connection and authentic communication
  • Wanting to feel more alive, responsive, and empowered
  • Desiring more connection with nature and horses

If this resonates with you we invite you to join us for a 3-day horse and land immersion. This is a space for learning, growth, and challenge, offering you a chance to become more relational, embodied, and present.

3-Day Horse and Land Immersion

You are invited to join a transformative 3-day horse and land immersion designed to support, challenge, and inspire you. This experience will guide you toward uncovering your strengths in a space co-created with the presence of horses, the generosity of land, the tenacity of fellow participants, and the wisdom of skilled relational and therapeutic leadership. Come, be part of this journey.

We are living in a time of complexity and uncertainty, shaped by global turmoil and shifting power dynamics. These external challenges affect us on a personal level—impacting our relationships with ourselves, our intimate partners, our families, and our communities. Many of us have been urbanized over time, disconnected from our bodies, and “civilized to death.” We long for deeper connection to nature, inner coherence, and intuitive flow to guide how we show up in the world.

To navigate this world with presence and clarity, we must be practiced and equipped to lead from wisdom, embody power that comes from within, and make choices guided by moral intention and integrity.

As Zen teacher, Lisa Genki Gibson, has said, “Humans have endured suffering in all its forms for millennia. We are remarkably resilient, remarkably badass.”

And horses? They’re equally resilient and badass. Few things are as compelling as the relationship between humans and horses. They are wild, deeply connected to the earth, strong, beautiful, unapologetic, and fully embodied. For millennia, they’ve helped us overcome challenges, and in return, we’ve learned that we cannot face adversity alone.

If this resonates with you, this immersion offers a hands-on, live opportunity to cultivate self-awareness and make it actionable in relationship.

Lisa Hartwick, MA (Psych) RCC

I am passionate about good relations and finding elegant ways through complex issues. With 25 years of therapy experience working with individuals, couples, and groups, along with being a long-time romantic partner and a mother of three grown boys, I am excited to share my rich relational experience, education and therapeutic background with you. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Medicine (OT) from UBC and a Master’s in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology from Naropa University. My therapeutic approach integrates somatic and trauma therapies, nature and mindfulness, neuroscience, attachment and development, and experiential therapies, including gestalt equine psychotherapy (GEP). I am delighted to serve as an international visiting faculty at the Gestalt Equine Institute of the Rockies (GEIR) in Colorado. Additionally, I am an avid student of Zen and a professional Integral facilitator.

Brooklyn Rae Greig, Equine Professional CHA

My soul’s calling is to create experiences where people and horses come together to heal and grow. For over 30 years, my family has stewarded 10 acres in Saanichton, BC (the traditional territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ people), and I feel deeply honored to share this land with our community.

I spend my days in close relationship with our herd, tending to their needs and supporting those who wish to deepen their bond with their equine partners.

As a Certified Equine Professional through the Certified Horsemanship Association, I offer educational experiences in Trauma-Informed Relational Horsemanship. I am also currently studying to become a 200-hour Yoga Instructor, blending ancient practices of breathwork, meditation, and mindful movement into my daily interactions with the horses. It brings me great joy to share these practices with you.
